It's amazing. Even tragic.

At a time when you and I should be praying as never before ...

... the Ninth Circuit Court has decided that people who want to pray should have
to PAY A FEE - a fee that OTHERS do not have to pay!

This is the case of Gentala v. City of Tuscon ... and I need YOUR help to
continue fighting for our right to pray!

Here's the bottom line:

* The city of Tucson discriminated against prayer - and against people who
wanted to use city facilities on the National Day of Prayer.

* We demonstrated that prayer is constitutionally protected speech, but the
Ninth Circuit Court ruled AGAINST us.

* We then asked the Supreme Court of the United States to review the decision
... and THEY THREW OUT THE RULING, telling the Ninth Circuit to look at the case
again in light of the Supreme Court's decision in the "Good News" case (a case
in which we filed a major brief).

* This means today we are working feverishly, getting ready to go back to the
Ninth Circuit, to argue for your rights yet again!

We intend to give it all we've got - because this is THE defining case on prayer
in America today!

It's incredible to me, as our nation does battle against terror, and as we
approach the Thanksgiving season, that we have to fight for the right to pray
without paying ... on the National Day of Prayer!

The American scenario is a chilling one in some ways: Religious people are being
treated as if they are subversive. Pornography often gets more legal protection
than prayer! And the ACLU fights against our right to even say "God Bless
America."

If a city in Arizona can charge a fee to praying people while offering the same
service FREE OF CHARGE to others ... what kind of anti-Christian discrimination
will come NEXT?

The federal courts need to get this right: You cannot treat religious speech as
dangerous, or even second-class.

That's the heart of our cause - the heart of the argument that we take back to
the Ninth Circuit.

But our resources are MAXED OUT - so we urgently need YOUR help!

Please send a generous gift today ... and then begin praying about this case!

http://www.aclj.net/donation/e_trans.cfm?dn=1008&commid=14627235&id=543517

Your gifts and prayers enabled us to see victory in the Good News case - and
that Supreme Court decision paved the way for the Justices to send this case
back to the Ninth Circuit!

And please remember to pray for our President as our nation continues its war
against terrorism. We must hold our leaders up in prayer for wisdom in these
trying times!

Now, please let your gifts and prayers make a powerful difference again ... as
we argue for YOUR RIGHT TO PRAY!

Thank you for standing with us. May God bless you - and may God bless America!

I knew that sooner or later you would be asking for money----now I see you as you are---in the same class with the Falwells Tammys and all others who use the radio, tv. or internet as a pulpit!! Now I am really suspicious of your motives!
I have been an atheist for many decades and I visit these bible forums to get a look aat their inner workings---many of them are nothing but bulletin boards---allowing no dissent or different point of view. Is this going to be one of them, or can views be exchanged??

I somewhat jokingly use this example for clarification:

I being an atheist do not tithe, I am much more generous---I give 100% of my earnings to the god/myth!! Every payday I cash my check, go home, go out in my backyard and say "Here is my gift oh secret one in the sky, take whatever you wish" --I then toss all my money toward the sky, allowing the god/myth to take out what he wishes/needs---and do you know what???? he has never taken a cent---he lets it all drop back to the ground for my personal use---oh how generous he is !!---so then I figure why use Dave as a middle man when the god myth has no need for my cash.!!

Try this folks, it works fine---one precaution, do not do this on a windy day---Thanx for your ears!

T Dave and All: One added note here----you, me, anyone and everyone can ALWAYS use prayer anywhere, anytime. You can pray silentlyy without disturbing anyone----which is to me seemingly the best way, for you would not disturb your neighbors, who may be concentrating on something else--- {simple courtesy}---If your particular god/myth cannot hear silent prayer, then he isnt much of a Powerful leader after all is he??

God does hear and know the thoughts and intentions of our Heart and we are also to pray out loud and in groups.

Thats just the nature of the Big God that we Serve that He hears us when we pray whether it is silently or out loud, singular or in groups.

Interesting sermon that you preached about money but I dont see the point since nowhere have I asked for money, instead I have posed that Im paying the bill myself for the advanced Delphi services. Guess you were just itching to vent about a topic and looked for any excuse to beat your drum so hope you got it off your chest.

In the Bible God does not tell us to toss money into the air like a fool and then be surprised when it falls to the ground and them reclaim it as our own. Man and his Religions can be so foolish. God does say to take our money and to go and assist the poor and the needy.. its much more effective than playing backyard games.

See you in Heaven!

David

Hmmm Who's beating a drum here, and from the pulpit , of course!!I'd say you owe me an apology, since in your own words as noted above, you WERE asking for money. Now are you going to deny it 3 times before the cock crows ??

I know the bible has many many contradictions---I seem to remember one about pharisees praying loudly for everyone to hear--and were admonished for doing so. Silent prayer seemed to be recommended----did I remember right or are you going to "straighten me out" on that too??

You are attributing Quotes to me that I did not make. That is another organization that is asking for Resources and rightly so because they need them.

The gates of hell have come against the
church, but it won't matter 2 little hill
of beans, because nothing will prevail
against the church of the living God. We
can pray up a storm and no one even know
it but God. Nothing will stop us from praying.
What it will actually do is bring us to
even more prayer. lol lol I just love it.
Amazing things are going to happen in
these last days.

Hello Craw! Bless you. You really have
a sense of humor. lol lol We are the
church of the living God. We are blood
bought, Bible taught, we have the use
of the name of Jesus in prayer, we have
that blood we are covered in, we can
pray in the spirit and in the understanding,
we have the throne of God backing us in
prayer for those prayers within the will
of God, we have power over the enemy with
the Name of Jesus. We know whose we are
and we know whom we serve. The gates of
hell will not prevail against this great
body of Christ, which we are. He is out
head and we are His body. We are maturing
in Him every day and we are coming into
the very end days. We have the protection
and love of God. We have the direction
from the Holy Spirit. We have the good
Word of God, our manna from heaven. In
other words, we have steak on our plate
while we wait.
YOu have no idea who you are talking to
and what little concern you give us. We
are the sheep of God's pasture. We know
His voice, we hear it, and it is always
Him that we follow. We are a peculiar
people who know and serve God.

You might as well get used to us people
of God. We are growing every single day,
we are maturing, and we are always going
to be here until we are caught up to
meet our Lord in the air. There is nothing
you can say or do to dissuade us from
the truth. You are far too late, because
we have known The Truth and He has set
us free.

Perhaps it would be best for you to take
on some cause or find someone to argue
with where you might at least have a
small chance of winning, instead of
with God and his family.

He has already won, for it is obvious to thinking people that your vengeful. punishing, spirit just cannot exist, except to the mindless and easily led who accept the fairytales presented to them by the ancient fear driven superstitious ones.

I am praying for you. I am thrilled that
you are going to come to know the true

you to come to Him. He will be there

Hi 123four,

Superb Posting!

Thank You for your Truthful and Factual Postings.

I too hope that some of these people will realize that they are arguing with the Choir!

We Christians have Tasted the Truth of Jesus Heavenly Kingdom and we are Not About to trade it for the Lies and Despair that some come here and offer in their worldly wisdom and worldly preaching!

God Bless You,

Have a Jesus :o) Day!
David
